Primary and Secondary Education
The Nelnah Bessie John School is a kindergarten to Grade 9 school; a two classroom, multi-grade school with a staff of one teacher/principal, a native language instructor and educational assistant.
The school, named in honour of White River First Nation Elder and teacher Nelnah Bessie John, provides a learning environment through traditional ways of knowing and being in combination with the mainstream Yukon curriculum.
Students attend the Beaver Creek School and then continue on to secondary school in Haines Junction or Whitehorse.
The Beaver Creek Community Library is located next to the firehall. Free public Internet and computer access is available in the library.
