The people of Burwash Landing are entrepreneurial, innovative and prepared to champion their next project.

The Burwash Landing population is too small to permit census-based information on whether work is full-time, full year, or predominantly part-time. Some First Nations people find longer-term employment with the Kluane First Nation administration. Many others are entrepreneurial and create their own employment.

Some find summer jobs providing tourist services or on small local construction and maintenance projects.

Mine staking has increased steadily over the past few years, with many interested mining companies taking notice.  The Kluane First Nation has developed a Mining Engagement Guide so that all exploration and mining is conducted with all best interests in mind.
