Primary Education and Secondary Education
The St. Elias Community School offers a kindergarten to Grade 12 education, and serves 120 students, about half of whom have First Nations ancestry. The school also includes a playground, ball diamond and soccer pitch
Yukon College offers full academic upgrading programs and a variety of continuing education courses. The location of the campus near the St. Elias Mountains provides opportunities for courses such as avalanche training, wilderness guiding and wilderness survival. Youth employment training, early childhood courses and office administration are also offered.
The Haines Junction library is located in the Yukon Government administration building. Free public internet and computer access is available in the library.
