The population of the Yukon itself is growing; a population growth of 11.6% between the 2006 and 2011 census years was the highest in Canada.

Labour Force

From forestry to mining, Yukoners have worked in natural resource industries for over 100 years, and in developing expertise for working in remote, cold-climate conditions.

And, with new technologies and media-based innovations, in addition to a well-established territory-wide broadband network, a highly skilled knowledge-based work force has developed in the Yukon.
